Audiorec
Voice-over in the browser
Free · no install · no sign-up

Record your voice over any video, right in the browser.

Load a clip, press Record and talk while it plays. Your takes land on a multi-track timeline where you can trim, move and mix them, then export a clean WAV that lines up with the video frame by frame.

Works best in Chrome or Edge on desktop. Your video and recordings never leave your computer.

How it works

From silent clip to finished narration in three steps.

1

Choose a video

Open any MP4, MOV or WebM file. Audiorec reads its frame rate, so the timeline counts in minutes, seconds and frames.

2

Record while it plays

Arm a track with REC and press *. You see your take being drawn live, and the level meter tells you if you're too quiet or clipping.

3

Edit and export

Trim, move and duplicate clips, set each track's volume, then export a WAV exactly as long as the timeline, ready to drop into your video editor.

Features

A small studio, without the setup.

Multi-track timeline

Separate tracks for each voice or for music, each with its own color, volume and mute.

Frame-accurate ruler

Times read mm:ss:ff. Zoom from the whole video down to one second.

Hear yourself live

Turn on Monitor to listen to the microphone in your headphones while you record.

Bring your own audio

Drag music or sound files onto a track and place them exactly where they belong.

Undo everything

Every move, trim, delete and rename can be undone and redone.

Projects that keep

Work autosaves in the browser. Save a .audiorec file to move a project to another computer.
